Our dog's Training Sessions Well where do I start? After trying so many other trainers I was recommended to Laurence by a friend who had also used him previously. From the first telephone call I knew we would be able to work on Bobbie's,(who is a Border Collie / mixture), issues which had rapidly deteriorated. Laurence explained that a number of problems might be due to nervous issues rather than just being an out of control dog. On meeting Laurence it was clear Bobbie had met his match !. Laurence literally had him eating out of his hands within 5 minutes, something we had never been able to achieve. I think it must have been Laurence's calmness and re-assurance that did it. Laurence then set up a plan based around breaking down the learned 'bad' behaviours with big rewards for alternative positive behaviours and by giving our dog a job. Sounds simple but it was the first time it had really been explained in plain English and I actually saw it work. We also had a reality check about how we behaved around our dog and what our dog would be seeing- it turned out a lot of what we had been taught by the other trainers with adverse methods had made the problems much worse. This also led to a lack of trust on both sides. Once we really started to work with our dog the change was instant. I cannot recommend Laurence at All Canines Great and Small highly enough. To sum up they have made a real difference to our family and more importantly to our best friend. Claire
